ABOUT STACK
Stack is a secure, centralized file management ecosystem designed specifically for the modern professional environment. Built with a focus on structural organization and seamless accessibility, Stack provides teams with a reliable foundation to safeguard their documents while fostering frictionless collaboration across departments.
Glassmorphism & Depth: To avoid a "flat" or "heavy" dark UI, implemented subtle backdrop blurs on sidebars and cards. This adds a layer of translucency and depth, making the interface feel lighter and more modern.
Typography: I used Inter for its easy readability at various sizes and its modern, neutral character that doesn't distract from the content.
Main Dashboard
Storage Visualization: The linear progress indicators provide an immediate, at a glance understanding of capacity. A gradient fill to signal capacity compared to a solid bar.
Quick Access Cards: Large format cards for Documents, Images and etc., use high contrast iconography and bold data points to guide the user to their most common entry points.
Recent Activity Feed: Moved away from a simple table to a vertical timeline with distinct icons for different action types (encryption, modification, sharing), improving scannability.
Folder List View
Organizational Clarity: Each department folder (Marketing, HR, etc.) features a unique icon and a dedicated "Last Contributor" section. This adds a human element to the file management, showing who is active in which area.
Archive Integrity Widget: A dedicated footer section emphasizes system health (Up Time, Active Users). In a corporate archival setting.
Inner Folder
Featured Asset Hero: For "Project Alpha," introduced a hero section for the most important or recently edited file. This breaks the monotony of long lists and provides immediate visual context.
List vs Grid Toggle: Users can switch views based on their preference for visual assets (images/videos) and list for document heavy folders.
Status Indicators: Internal vs. External tags are color coded and placed in order to prevent accidental sharing errors.
Sharing & Access UI
Focused Modal: The modal uses a dark, semi transparent overlay to dim the background, forcing total focus on the critical task of permission management.
Role Clarity: The dropdown for Viewer, Editor, and Owner is placed directly next to the invite field to ensure the role is considered before the invite is sent.
Master Key Revocation: A high visibility Revoke All section provides an emergency stop for security, a standout feature.
Search & Filter UI
Contextual Intelligence: The System Intelligence sidebar provides automated insights about the search results, such as access alerts or suggested audits.
Refinement: Filters are categorized by file type, last modified, and access status (Classified vs. Public), allowing users to go down into files quickly.
